Hone your paint-pen skills by drawing on paint swatches. You can find paint swatches in the painting section of a hardware store.

STEP 6

With a fine-tip black marker and a blue paint pen, draw diamonds inside the diamonds in the background. Using a small, flat brush, paint the eyelids and bottom lip robin’s-egg blue. With the same color and a medium, flat brush, paint the remaining area on Buddha’s head. Use a light yellow hue to paint the chin, under the eyes, and the upper lip area. Add small polka dots to the background with a baby-blue paint pen. Paint the nose light green, and let it dry. Once it’s dry, draw a diamond between the eyes with a fine-tip black marker. Lastly, with a fine-tip black marker, draw the pupils of the eyes and the trim on the neck.
